Here we go again, off to the Caribbean. We are taking a couple of weeks to enjoy Curacao one more time. It’s been a couple of years since we’ve been there, and we’re eager to see the changes since the referendum.

The cab ride to the airport in Vancouver was a mere 25 bucks – quite the change from our last trip when the cab ride was nearly 80 bucks! Moving from Surrey into Vancouver has its perks.

We have a new time share to explore this time. We have always stayed at the Royal Sea Aquarium in the past, but we booked a brand new place called the Acoya this time. We are looking forward to it!

The flights were good – no delays, only the one gate change, and it all went smoothly. My bag got searched again – not that big a surprise since every single time we’ve come to the Caribbean, my bag gets opened – you know because they leave a notice they’ve been looking!

We did a short snorkel at Caracasbaii today – a place we’ve been to a lot over the years, and it’s changed quite a bit. The condos under construction are all finished and they’ve blocked off a section of the beach where it looks like they are going to build another resort.

Still, it was lots of fun, really warm water and lots of fun fish to see. The flying gurnard is a fun fish, with big blue wings. We saw three of them today including a wee tiny little guy chasing his mom around!
