Hmm… I have been hearing about a meet and greet. I have to go out to mission to meet some other dogs, and if I get along with them I can stay with them (I think they called it boarding) while Mum and Dad go on holidays. It sounds like a fun place, sounds like there are alot of other dogs there to play with so that might be fun. I’m not throwing my support behind the idea 100%, I’ll have to meet Anna Maria and Brian and then I’ll make my decision!
I might decide that being around alot of other dogs, going for walks in the woods, getting fed a couple times a day, getting to sleep on my swell beds at her place.. being entertained all day.. that might be terrible.. hey… wait a minute, that doesn’t sound bad at all? Well I’ll just keep an eye on the other dogs and see what they are like and then I’ll let you know how this meet and greet goes.. I think it’s going to happen in a week or two. Stay tuned!

I really enjoy my off leash park visits. We’ve explored Serpentine on Tuesday and Wednesday, and because it was not as busy on Wednesday, mum and dad decided to take me to another park in Surrey. It was pretty cool. I think it is called freedom park. It’s on 154th st and 84th ave.
I think I played nice, and walked through the forested area, but I started barking at the other dogs (maybe so they would include me in the war to see who could carry the ball..) but mum and dad didn’t like that I was barking so much and the only one barking. It was near the end of the visit so maybe they were thinking that I was getting too excited.. and they told me it was time to go home. So when they said that, what did I do?? Did I take off and try to stall? Nope.. I trotted over to the gate and waited for slow poke mum and dad to get there!? I could tell by the pleased look on their faces they were thinking… ” WHAT A GUY!!” Unfortunately “THEY” forgot to take the camera but promise they will do that next time and post some pics of the swell park and my brilliance at following commands!
Both parks they’ve taken me to have a doggie fountain where my and my buddies can get some water, but they have been dry and the water turned off. The other owners said that the city has turned the water off now due to the cold weather, not wanting the pipes to freeze or burst.. I would have thought having the water running occasionally would have helped prevent that, but I’m no engineer or plumber so what do I know 🙂

So I get a nice dinner and things are looking good. It’s the weekend, they’re plenty of cats to chase in this neighbourhood – what could be better?
Hey a Car Ride! Sounds good to me. Sounds good to me. Let me turn around in a couple circles here and make sure …. yep! Sounds good to me!
Off we go – man that was one SHORT Car Ride! Right to this 24 hr place called a Vet…. now what’s that all about?
And suddenly I know! The dude came at me with scissors! What was I do eh? Sheesh, course I’m barking at him – what so special about him, besides the scissors??
They grab my legs and next thing i know I’m muzzled and pinned! Luckily it didn’t take long – and I only put up a token struggle so they know i’m not happy!
A dog biscuit or two makes things seems a bit better…. Another short car ride and here i am typing – good thing i have such tiny paws – makes hitting the right keys easier!

Today I had a chance to go for walk around the park. Mum took me after she got home from work. I have some shaved legs (oooh la la ) and the wet grass was bothering me so we hot footed it over to the sidewalk. I got to try some turkey.. man that was good. I hope I’m not allergic to it!!
I also got up on the bed, that was fun… It was so fluffy I had to rub my face in it. 🙂 Mum said I was getting all gooey. 🙂 heheh.
When we went for the walk, I was going ahead as far as I could…. mum didn’t like that so i got told to heel and slow down, I did pretty darned good and I got told I was ” a good boy”. I’m taking things kinda slow.. I’m holding back some because I just am not sure of myself yet.. but my tail has been higher today than it was yesterday… and I’ve bestowed alot of kisses on these two, to show them that I’m really hoping this is going to last!
Mum and Dad came to the SPCA today and spotted me. They were not afraid of me because I barked. The staff had warned them that I do that when I don’t know who people are.. I just did it once though and then I was ok , and they seemed to like me!! I’ve been in the shelter for 2 months now, people come and go and pass me by. I can’t figure it out!? I don’t know why I got left here in the first place, after being a good boy for 7 years, all I know is I am ready to get sprung!
I’m really hoping they take me home cuz Dad took me for a walk, and then Mum took me for a spin too and we even jogged a bit! It was fun and my tail was high and I was steppin out proud! J Man it was fun… beats the heck out of sitting in a cage. Oh Man….they left, but they were sure making a fuss of me, so I’m wondering if they are coming back? No one ever made that fuss over me before…
