Max's behaviour

Pam n MaxMax is generally sedate, likes to watch things. He is quiet but will sometimes bark when he wants to play and gets excited. He moves from one bed to another… we have two beds downstairs for him in the family room where we spend most of our time. One is behind my recliner and the other is over by the french doors. One is a sheepskin, and one is cloth that has a sponge in it. He is liking both!

We put another bed upstairs in our bedroom –ย  it’s the one that came with him from the SPCA.

He really is a friendly dog once he knows you are not a “stranger”…

He loves to give kisses and I love that! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Hey Max I guess your gonna bark at me when we meet in Nov but hey no sweat. It’s your house but I’m a pretty good guy I think you’ll get to like me pretty quick. What’s with the pooping inside the house the back yard is you whole domain to poop at will. Mum and dad seem to be pretty happy with ya being in there world. Talk to ya soon

  2. Hi Cathy, Yes he’s doing great and we’ve had a couple of successes in the park getting him to do his business.. I’ve never seen a dog not want to go on the grass to even walk! I’m hoping it is just because his hind legs were shaved where his dew claws were removed, that the tall wet grass touching his legs = icky ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Alicia ๐Ÿ™‚ Nice to see you posting on here. We are really glad to have him here. He’s a swell boy and he’s now moving between his 4 beds hee hee.. no sense in not spoiling him. We’ve gotten him up on the bed with us for a few minutes but he jumps off and goes back on the floor.. we are patient and will convert him heehee.. Did you know he snores? Yep… softly but definately snores.. it’s cute. He doesn’t bark at the mail coming through the slot, but he did bark at the vets at people he did not know. He’s excellent on the lead, swell in the car, and has a good appetite. He loves carrots for snacks so thats great news ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Hi Alicia! I just know Max is missing you. I can see it in his eyes. He’s doing his best to fit in that’s for sure! He’s a bundle of energy and excited to go go go. Thanks for taking such good care of him!

  4. Im so happy to see hes fitting in great.i have to say i was a bit sad to see him leave the shelter just because he was my shelter dog. I am really happy to know that hes got such loving parents, that would never bring him back. i wish i could have taken him. Ive kinda made it a routien to read your guys blog at work(shh dont tell the boss)

  5. HI, Mum was saying that you guys are still really enjoying the new fellow a lot and that as to be expected he has a some adjusting to do. She was saying that he seems to have a problem going on grass?? I imagine spending two months in prison and on concrete when your bathroom rules and facilities are all screwed up would rock anyone’s boat. Having just been neutered may also factor into his slipping up…Love conquers all….He’s been through an awful lot and you two are the perfect doggy parents to put him at ease. Cathy

  6. Thanks guys ๐Ÿ™‚ Max has a couple of issues we are working on, he certainly seems to be relaxing more and has found himself relaxing on a variety of beds in the place ๐Ÿ™‚ He’s super sweet. We walked over to the post office tonight M, Max and I… and when I went in to get my parcel (thanks Peter, it’s lovely!) M and Max waited outside and he barked once at a lady who was looking scared to begin with.. but otherwise was good. ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Hey guys….I love to read about Max! ๐Ÿ™‚ He really has made himself at home it seems. He seems like a super swell dog. He couldn’t have found better parents anywhere in the world. ๐Ÿ˜€

  8. How very cool he is a kisser, it seems like he is starting to settle down and knows he is safe and warm. It sure looks by the pictures he is not afraid to get close and rough it up a bit. What a cool idea having this blog and very cool to have random shots of buck to watch over the place. He knows you mean no disrespect for him by helping Max out he is happy another dog pal got you guys. I Don’t think he would have let ya get a bad one. He was at the pound pointing you in the right direction.
