Was glad to see Stephen Harper has finally resigned his seat. Not sure that a sitting Prime Minister has presided over their home province’s descent into such economic stagnation.

Bailey spots a heron
How quickly life changes.
This Morning
Soon.
Walking the dog
Chasing birds
Bailey loves to run after the swallows that frequent our park. She will chase them around and around for a looong time! The birds themselves seem to be teasing her, switching directions, darting the opposite way, looping back on her, doubling up for a charge.
I’ve actually been worried that she doesn’t know when to quit and might give herself a heart attack – no idea if that is even a thing, but this gal seems a tad obsessed!
Life on the river
Bailey gets distracted.
Birds on the river
Pam and I really enjoy the antics of the birds we see along the Fraser River. We spend a lot of time on our walks checking out the various types of birds. Big and small they always catch our eye!
On the small side, we’ve seen several hummingbirds, and lots of our neighbours along the walk have hummingbird feeding stations set up. This particular series of photos in this post are of the same bird! See how the color just radically changes…
When you see the pictures of him where he is mostly green, it’s hard to see any of the brilliant magenta color that is so prominent in the other two pictures.
I had to put in another picture of the Great Blue Heron. We see herons every day, and it’s really cool to see them fly. But here, he’s out standing on a log boom, looking for all the world like he has a beer belly! Thought it was hysterical.
