Here’s a picture I’ve taken of the latest sunrise – I really love the colors.
Bailey and I are often just coming around the corner to see these great sunrises. I need to carry my camera more often!

Sunrise on the Fraser
Love this photo of sunrise on the Fraser, looking toward Mt Baker. Just lovely. Amazing color!
I also like this one of the bird silhouetted against the sun just appearing over Mt Baker.
Evening on the river
Was glad to see Stephen Harper has finally resigned his seat. Not sure that a sitting Prime Minister has presided over their home province’s descent into such economic stagnation.

Bailey spots a heron
Out on the north arm of the Fraser River we spotted this Great Blue Heron coming in for a landing – I caught a mere one tenth of a second on film. Bailey caught the whole thing, as this little clip shows!

The Fraser
Every morning Bailey and I take a walk along the river. With spring definitely here, there is always something new. Lately it’s been the changing levels of the water: The tides have really been low last few days, but today they are back up high.
Hope you’re not getting sick of seeing the Great Blue Heron! It’s a cool bird to watch, very slow and deliberate moving while walking in the water.
This video shows the heron taking over the log on which it is pictured in the photo accompanying this story. There are a couple seconds of some of the many other birds in the general area – and note the ducks scrambling to get off the log the heron wants.
