Buck ready for a walk

Buck's Memorial

Silly BuckHey everyone,

It was two weeks ago today that our dear little Buck went to play with the angels. We have had an obit published in this week’s Georgia Straight.

I still find myself breaking down at most inopportune times, but the good memories are allowing me to contain my grief a little better. I also find myself talking to Max like he was Buck, but he doesn’t seem to mind!

Max is a great dog, and I’m sure glad he’s come into our lives! He’s just a sweetheart – and very easy to love. He wants to do the right thing all the time. His eye contact is superb, looking for the next command.

Here is a link to the memorial on the Straight’s site: http://www.straight.com/classifieds/Announcements/In+Memoriam

Thanks again to you all for your support.

  1. You are doing great sweetie and thanks for getting the obituary organized. I know how hard it’s been for you, but I’m really proud of you for wanting to have another dog and to help a senior to boot. Buck would surely approve and I think Buck did help us to get Max.. and the fates clashed because Max waited 2 months for us.. it was all meant to be I think. We were destined to be Bucks mum and dad, and so to are we meant to love Max ๐Ÿ™‚ They could not have asked for a more loving dad to have. It will get easier. kiss.
    …Pam…

  2. Thanks Linda. It’s comforting to write about Buck and hold onto the memories we made together as a family. We will always remember him and have a memorial for him, he was out boy and always will be in our hearts, a very large part of our hearts. ๐Ÿ™‚ Our second boy is swell too, and certainly he didn’t deserve the fate he got by ending up at the shelter.. but they were so good to him there, he was not as traumatized by his 2 month stay as he could have been and I credit Alicia and Karen and the others at the Abbotsford SPCA. So KUDO’s to you out there in abby if you read this!

  3. that was a very nice Tribute……… When you say Goodbye to a family member/pet it leaves such a big hole in your heart(s) ……..
Kudos to you both for carrying on and offering a chance to Max.
